BAGLEY TO DETROIT IN FOUR-WAY DEAL

In a four-team trade, the Detroit Pistons acquired forward/center Marvin Bagley III from the Sacramento Kings; the Milwaukee Bucks acquired center/forward Serge Ibaka and cash from the Los Angeles Clippers, a future second-round draft pick from the Pistons and a future second-round draft pick from the Kings; Sacramento acquired guard Donte DiVincenzo from the Bucks, forward/center Trey Lyles, forward/guard Josh Jackson and a future second-round draft pick from the Pistons, and guard David Michineau from the Clippers; Los Angeles acquired forward/guard Rodney Hood and forward Semi Ojeleye from the Bucks, and guard Vanja Marinkovic from the Kings.

What does it give the Detroit Pistons
In Bagley III, the Pistons get a talented big man whose NBA career has been hit or miss, so far. Whether he comes off the bench as the sixth man or starts at either power forward or center, Bagley III figures to revive his career in Detroit. He was a solid acquisition by the Pistons at this time.

What does it give the Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks did well here to add playoff proven big man Ibaka, who will likely come off the bench to back up starting center Bobby Portis (who is starting in place of the injured Brook Lopez). Milwaukee was also able to get back some cash from the Clippers in this mega transaction.

What does it give the Sacramento Kings
The Kings decided to finally part ways with Bagley III, opting for quantity in return. DiVincenzo should be the key to the deal from a Sacramento perspective, provided he stays healthy. Lyles should also help replace Bagley III to some extent. As for Jackson, he is currently sidelined by a back injury.

What does it give the Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers dealt away Ibaka, who was not playing much in LA this season, and got back role players Hood and Ojeleye. The real wild card in this trade might be Marinkovic, a second-round pick by Sacramento in 2019 who is still only 25 years old. Might he decide to come over to the NBA one day?

Fantasy impact
Bagley III could be the big winner of this deal if he starts receiving far more playing time in Detroit, which is expected. Ibaka will also play more in Milwaukee but that may not be enough to be a recommendable pickup down the stretch. DiVincenzo may also see a spike in playing time (and subsequently in fantasy value). The other players involved in this four-way trade are not really recommendable at this time.
