Huber goes from an organization that had Billy Butler, Ryan Shealy and Mark Teahen ahead of him to a club that has Adrian Gonzalez, Tony Clark and Brian Myrow. Therefore, it may be just as difficult for Huber to get at-bats in the National League.
What does it give the Kansas City Royals
The Royals are giving Huber another opportunity to crack a Major League roster, since their first-base/DH situation is overloaded with better talent. Therefore, this move was made more for Huber than for anything of substance that will be obtained for his rights.
