What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers hope they can catch lightning in a bottle here with Marinez, a talented but woefully inconsistent right-handed reliever. At this point, the rebuilding Brew Crew have nothing to lose.
What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays had designated Marinez for assignment recently, so they did well to at least acquire some cash in this transaction (since the Tampa Bay organization is always very budget-conscious).
Fantasy impact
Marinez won't provide much in the way of fantasy value even if he ends up playing a regular role in Milwaukee.
