YANKEES, DODGERS MAKE 4-PLAYER SWAP
The New York Yankees acquired pitcher Tyler Olson and infielder Ronald Torreyes from the Los Angeles Dodgers for infielder Rob Segedin and a player to be named later or cash considerations.
What does it give the New York Yankees
The Yankees added some depth with Olson and Torreyes, though neither player will make much of an impact in the Bronx. The Yanks didn't pay much in return, so this deal was about becoming a deeper organization.
What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers had designated both Olson and Torreyes for assignment recently, so they basically took whatever they could get in return. Segedin is merely organizational depth but they may also receive a second player.
Fantasy impact
Olson, Torreyes and Segedin don't have much fantasy value as depth players, and that likely won't change anytime soon.
