DODGERS GET RELIEVER WEBB FROM THE O'S

The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired pitcher Ryan Webb, catcher Brian Ward and a competitive balance round B draft pick in 2015 (No. 74 overall) from the Baltimore Orioles for pitcher Ben Rowen and catcher Chris O'Brien.

What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
Webb is a decent reliever with enough big-league experience to be useful for the Dodgers while they try to patch together their fractured bullpen early in 2015. The Dodgers also exchanged catching prospects with Baltimore and received the 74th overall pick in this year's draft, so LA did pretty well here in giving up little.

What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
The Orioles had already designated Webb for assignment, so a trade was needed one way or another. Rowen has a bit of AL experience (Texas) and is still only 25 years old, so he might become the key to this trade from a Baltimore perspective. O'Brien has more upside than Ward, so that's good for the O's here.

Fantasy impact
There isn't much fantasy value here, as both Webb and Rowen will likely pitch in middle relief in the bigs (if/when they return to MLB). The catchers are also long shots to become fantasy factors in the big leagues, while the draft pick is several years away from contributing.
