The Baltimore Orioles acquired infielder Robert Andino from the Florida Marlins for pitcher Hayden Penn.
What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
The O's get a decent utility infielder with a pretty good glove in Andino. He hasn't proven capable of hitting well enough to play every day but should be helped by moving to the American League and to a hitters' park in Camden Yards.
What does it give the Miami Marlins
Penn failed to win a job in Baltimore's wide-open starting rotation, so he will now try to revive his career in South Florida. Since the Marlins are set in the rotation, Penn will probably pitch in relief to start out.
