The Athletics bullpen has struggled to begin the 2026 season, so they will take a chance on Suarez. The left-hander typically fills a multi-inning role and can make a spot start if called upon. He has not been very effective against MLB hitters in recent seasons, but the 28-year-old will get another fresh start here.
What does it give the Seattle Mariners
Suarez made just one appearance for Seattle after they claimed him on waivers earlier in the month. Since he was only a temporary depth pitcher, they do fine adding some cash in this deal.
