The Dodgers add to their left-handed pitching depth with this trade for Eder. It has been a struggle for the once highly regarded prospect, who worked as a reliever in brief MLB call-ups the past two seasons. Los Angeles will be the latest team to give him a look. He is once again likely to spend most of the year in the minors, where has not managed impressive stats either.
What does it give the Washington Nationals
Eder made a few starts in the minors after the Nationals acquired him at the 2025 trade deadline, but they did not go well. He was not going to be part of their pitching staff this season, so Washington adds some cash and frees up a roster spot.
Fantasy impact
This trade will not have a fantasy impact. It is looking increasingly unlikely that Eder will ever be a big league pitcher at this point.
