MILWAUKEE MAKES MOVE FOR MATOS
The Milwaukee Brewers acquired outfielder Luis Matos from the San Francisco Giants for cash.
What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
With several outfielders injured early in the season, the Brewers will give Matos a look. He brings a mix of power and speed on offense. The 24-year-old showed flashes of that potential with the Giants, but he was never able to earn consistent playing time either. Likely, he will remain a part-time player in Milwaukee's outfield as well.
What does it give the San Francisco Giants
For the Giants, getting back only cash here is a bit disappointing. But they are trying to win now, and there was not much of an opportunity for Matos.
Fantasy impact
Matos has the tools to be an interesting fantasy hitter, but he has not put it all together in the big leagues yet. He stays off the fantasy radar for now, as he will probably be a reserve player in Milwaukee.
