The Tampa Bay Rays acquired outfielder Victor Mesa Jr. from the Miami Marlins for infielder Angel Brachi.

Mesa still has time to become a regular in MLB at age 24. The Cuban outfielder is unlikely to begin 2026 with the Rays but he is a player to watch this season.
What does it give the Miami Marlins
Mesa never made enough headway with the Marlins organization, so the club decided to give him an opportunity elsewhere. Brachi is a very young infield prospect.
Fantasy impact
Neither Mesa Jr. nor Brachi are likely to help fantasy owners this season. That said, keep an eye on both players.
