COOPER CRISWELL SENT TO SEATTLE

The Seattle Mariners acquired pitcher Cooper Criswell from the New York Mets for cash.

What does it give the Seattle Mariners
Criswell is a veteran right-hander who turns 30 this season. He can be used as either a starter or reliever in MLB, which adds to his value. Look for him to be used as a long reliever and spot-starter with the M's.

What does it give the New York Mets
The Mets had previously acquired Criswell off waivers from the Red Sox last December. However, they needed room on their 40-man roster, so they did well to get cash back for Criswell's services.
