RAYS GET TWO FROM THE BRAVES

The Tampa Bay Rays acquired infielder/outfielder Brett Wisely and pitcher Ken Waldichuk from the Atlanta Braves for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

What does it give the Tampa Bay Rays
Wisely is a 26-year-old left-handed batter who can play a utility role. He is a good bet to make the Rays out of spring training. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old Waldichuk is a left-hander who can both start and relieve.

What does it give the Atlanta Braves
The Braves decided to move on from both Wisely and Waldichuk in exchange for a future asset. Atlanta clearly did not believe either Wisely or Waldichuk had a long-term future with the club.

Fantasy impact
Neither Wisely nor Waldichuk is much of a fantasy asset at this time.
