What does it give the Baltimore Orioles
Baltimore's catchers have struggled to stay healthy lately, so Jackson will provide much-needed depth. He has never been too productive at the plate, but he can be a serviceable backup until some of the Orioles regular catchers return from the injured list. They added Jackson to their MLB roster along with this trade.
What does it give the New York Yankees
The Yankees got some international free agent money and either a PTBNL or additional cash. It's not a bad return, considering Jackson was just a depth catcher in the minors.
