What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
In Gallo, the Dodgers get a power-hitting outfielder who can hit monstrous home runs and play solid defense. He has never hit for average and can go into a tailspin rather quickly, but he is a decent gamble for LA. Gallo should see at-bats in left field and as a DH.
What does it give the New York Yankees
The Yankees were desperate to find a taker for Gallo, who was recently replaced by newcomer Andrew Benintendi in the outfield. Beeter has a great arm but has struggled in Double-A ball this season. The change of scenery should help him.
