The San Francisco Giants acquired pitcher Tony Watson from the Los Angeles Angels for pitchers Sam Selman, Ivan Armstrong and Jose Marte.
What does it give the San Francisco Giants
After spending less than one season away from San Francisco, Watson returns to the Giants. The 36-year-old veteran will help as a situational left-hander down the stretch.
What does it give the Los Angeles Angels
Selman is six years younger than Watson, but he fills a similar role in MLB (situational left-hander). He could get a crack at that gig with the Halos later on this season.
Fantasy impact
There is nothing to see here, as both situational lefties are not expected to pitch enough down the stretch to be fantasy factors. Armstrong and Marte are not going to make an impact right away.
