The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired pitcher Corey Knebel from the Milwaukee Brewers for a player to be named later (Leo Crawford - 12/11/20) or cash considerations.
What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
In Knebel, the Dodgers add a talented reliever who has endured a lot of injury woes in recent years. He was very effective in years past, so it is a good gamble for LA to see if he can rediscover past form (and finally stay healthy).
What does it give the Milwaukee Brewers
The Brewers were not expected to tender a contract to Knebel, so they were at least able to get back something in return for his services. That something is not expected to amount to much, though.
Fantasy impact
Knebel's recent injury history should preclude most fantasy leaguers from drafting him this season. However, he has the talent to emerge as a quality reliever for a quality franchise, so keep an eye on his situation with the Dodgers.
