BRAVES BRING IN VERSATILE MICAH JOHNSON
The Atlanta Braves acquired outfielder/infielder Micah Johnson from the Los Angeles Dodgers for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
What does it give the Atlanta Braves
Once considered the second baseman of the future for the White Sox, Johnson's career path has stalled. He will look for a fresh start in Atlanta, where he might wind up earning a job as their top utility man.
What does it give the Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers had recently designated Johnson for assignment, so they at least get back an asset in return. The Dodgers continue to pursue a new starting second baseman, but Johnson was never in their plans.
Fantasy impact
Still only 26, Johnson offers a little fantasy intrigue because of his speed. However, he is not expected to see enough at-bats with the Braves to become a legitimate fantasy factor in 2017.
